At CeBIT, Rittal and iNNOVO Cloud GmbH will be showing the new “RiMatrix Balanced Cloud Center” solution (RiMatrix BCC), a cloud data center in a container. For companies that want to quickly build a data center infrastructure for the public or private cloud, Rittal now offers a completely pre-installed infrastructure.
Offerings include server racks, air conditioning, container servers, storage and networking systems, and power supplies. Rittal sets according to their own information in the management software on OpenStack. It allows users to quickly build a private or publicly accessible cloud infrastructure.
This turnkey cloud data center is available in ISO or non-ISO container format. Rittal supplies components such as racks, air-conditioning or power supplies as pre-defined modules. The components server, network and storage are not only included but already preconfigured. Interested parties can also experience the new infrastructure at CeBIT from 14 to 18 March in Hanover.
The cloud management software OpenStack enables user companies to build and manage their own powerful cloud environment from preconfigured standard building blocks.
The components for IT as a Service (ITaaS) ensure that the standard servers, storage, network and applications used are as standardized as possible in the data center. This used OpenStack solution is pre-configured turnkey. Users can also pre-configure custom workload requirements for RiMatrix BCC or outsource operations to iNNOVO.
RiMatrix BCC was developed in close cooperation between Rittal and the Eschborn-based iNNOVO Cloud GmbH. Rittal introduced expertise in fail-safe IT infrastructures and data center modules to the new solution. The iNNOVO Cloud GmbH has many years of experience in the design and operation of cloud platforms.
“With the new offer, customers can flexibly decide whether they want to buy, lease, lease and operate an RiMatrix BCC container on an on-premise or off-premise basis. Alternatively, they can rent an elastic virtual data center from the RiMatrix BCC container on-demand and obtain managed services for parts of the cloud platform, “comments Sebastian Ritz, CEO of iNNOVO Cloud GmbH.
“The industrialization of data center construction makes it possible for companies today to realize their own powerful IT infrastructure faster and easier than ever before,” says Martin Kipping, Director of IT IT Projects at Rittal. “Time-to-market is a critical factor for businesses. The container solutions from Rittal presented at CeBIT address these requirements and support customers with modular IT systems in order to quickly meet the demand for high and scalable computing power, “Kipping continues.
